The repeated industrial actions by public servants in Uganda are a clear manifestation that the ruling National Resistance Movement has lost direction for the country, Mr. Eric Mathu, the Forum for Democratic Change party Vice chairperson for Bukonzo East constituency has said.
Speaking to Kasese guide radio at the FDC district party headquarters in Kasese town, Mr. Erick wonders the kind of steady progress the NRM and President Museveni keep singing when children cannot be in school.
He said he was disturbed by the fact that the ruling government has never got to a solution that would satisfy civil servants than keeping Ugandan in a confusion of repeated strikes over failed salary increments.
Mr. Erick speaking………..
Lt. Mathe Magwara, the Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner for Bukonzo County said the industrial action by teachers was a manifestation of democracy that has been ushered in by government, arguing that Mr. Mathu`s statements were just out of ignorance and lack of ideas by his opposition party. Lt. Magwara speaking………….
Lt. Magwara also asked the Mathu and his opposition politicians to be patient because the NRM wasn’t leaving power too soon. END
