Police has in custody a 39-year-old woman arrested reportedly with stolen Fish.
Police spokesperson for Rwenzori East region, ASP Nelson Tumushime confirmed and said suspected stolen fish from Mawa market was discovered in Ms Mary Kyakimwa-Nya Marion’s bedroom in Kidodo cell after a tipoff by a concerned local resident.
He said the fish had been stolen from a store in Mawa market by a suspected gang that reportedly sold part to the local community.
The area local council one Chairperson, Mr. Geoffrey Sharif Masereka said this was not the first time Nya Marion was arrested with stolen items, the latest being an incident where a suspected gang threatened her life for failing to pay for stolen property they had sold to her.

Ms. Sumaya Idiris and Mr. Joseph Masereka, the owners of the fish store said they were alerted by a local resident after a story aired on Kasese Guide radio about the fish theft incident, forcing them to alert police and the local leadership. Ms. Sumaya and Mr. Joseph……….
Ms. Flora Masika and Asia Asiimwe, not real names but local residents alleged that other than the threats by the suspect to deal without favor with anyone who reports her to police, she is a member of a criminal gang that break into houses. Ms. Flora speaking……….
