Police in Kasese rescued two employees of Kilembe Mines Ltd in Kasese Municipality from drowning after River Nyamwamba burst its banks this morning.
Mr. Dan Mbahimba, the hospital administrator said the employees including, Ms Mary Kabugho an office attendant and Zelina Kabugho, a security guard ware rescued after the hospital flooded following torrential rains.

Dan called for community awareness about disaster occurrences that happen annually in Kasese district.
Mr.John Mukihi 83 years and resident of Bulembia division was similarly rescued by police from drowning as he struggled to secure a piece of log from being washed away by river Nyamwamba.
