Temperatures in Kasese Municipality are at a risk of rising should the local population fail to protect the environment, the project manager for Kampala climate change project Ms. Eleth Nakanzi has warned.
Speaking to Kasese guide radio yesterday shortly after a sensitization meeting with local leaders from Kasese Municipality held at Rwenzori international hotel in Kasese town, Ms. Nakanzi observed that temperatures can only be reversed if the local population adopt tree planting.

Earlier, the senior environmental officer Kasese Municipality Ms. Evelyn Mugume said the two days environmental sensitization campaign supported by European Union is aimed at helping Kasese Municipal council to make sustainable energy access and climate action plan that will help to mitigate environmental challenges.
