Ministry of works and communication has up to two weeks to have spread murrum heaped on the Hima-Kikonzo-Kihyo road or face the law, Mr. Jonan Bamwenda, a lawyer based in Kasese has said.
The seemingly disappointed Mr. Bamwenda who use the road quite often wonders why the Works Ministry could have heaped the marrum before they were ready to begin the construction works.
The former Busongora North Member of Parliamentary seat aspirant who threatened to drag the Ministry to court should they keep adamant about the matter, is concerned that the heaped murrum was pausing a risk to the road users now that it was making the road rather narrow for use. Mr. Bamwenda speaking…….
Mr. Jockus Tusiime, a Boda-boda rider like Janet Musoki, a local resident described a Boda-boda ride on the road as life and security risks now that plans to level the heaped marrum by the Contractor are long overdue. Ms. Janet en Jockus speaking…….
Eng. Mathew Ocoria, a road supervisor with Ministry of Works and Transport said they were already on the way to Kasese district over similar challenges and that he would update this radio later during the day. Eng. Mathew speaking……..
