Residents of Kamwokya, a Kampala Suburb have clashed over money donated by Muhammad Nsereko, the Kampala Central Member of Parliament for distribution to voters.

Trouble started after Nsereko, who was campaigning in Kamwokya yesterday evening left his campaign agents with Shillings 7 million to share among voters, according to some of the residents.

Each person was supposed to take home at least Shillings 5000.

Following the legislator’s departure, a group of boys showed up and started pushing the woman who was holding the money and run away with several bundles.

According to the residents, this happened because the men were ordered to stand aside since the Nsereko was only targeting women.
