The Rwenzururu King, Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma has urged the youth to embrace vocational skills and use them to transform their livelihood.
Omusinga made the remarks yesterday while officiating at the second graduation ceremony of about 400 youth who had completed vocational training in different disciplines at Rwenzori Zonal Industrial Hub Kasese located in Mubuku Town Council in Kasese district.
The graduates were awarded certificates in hair dressing and Makeup, welding and metal fabrication, building and construction, Bakery and leather processing examined by the Directorate of Industrial training-(DIT).
King Mumbere said that as a person he believes in the power of skilling the youth, saying that he was hopeful that the skills and knowledge acquired would help to change the mindset of the society.
He commended President Museveni for establishing a skilling hub in Mubuku, asking him to establish more industrial hubs in the hard to reach areas.Omusinga one speaking….
The State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga, told the congregation that the President’s vision of skilling Ugandans is a fulfillment of a history mission of the first and founding King of Rwenzururu, Isaya Mukirania Kibanzanga.
