Local Council one Chairpersons from Kasese Municipality has observed need for the Land Lords to be sensitized about the importance of installing rain water harvesting tanks.
The leaders claim that most of the buildings in the Municipal don’t have rain water harvesting tanks.
Mr. Jackson Mbabu, the Vice chairperson for Kyaminyuku-Kihalimu cell in Nyakabingo two ward told a stakeholders meeting yesterday that most of the buildings in his area do not have water harvesting tanks, he partly links to persistent floods in Kihalimu water channel that stretches from the hills in the area to Kasese town. Mr. Wilson Kiiza, the Local Council one Chairperson for Katadoba Cell, says the challenge of insufficient water harvesting tanks in his area of jurisdiction leads to floods that subsequently destroy the roads.
