The Kasese District Education Officer, Mr. George Mayinja has asked head teachers to refrain from chasing away learners who do not pay development funds agreed upon by parents.
Addressing school head teachers of both government aided and privately owned primary schools at multipurpose hall in Kasese Municipality yesterday, Mr. Mayinja said the education act criminalizes anybody who sends away a learner who is never part of the decision making.
He however asks parents and guardians to be responsible by fulfilling what they agree upon with other stakeholders for purposes of boosting the education of their children. Mr. Mayinja one speaking………
