The Kasese RDC, Lt. Joe Walusimbi has threatened to take on any local or clan leader negotiating with suspects of defilement and other cases of injustice that inure then rights of women and children.
Addressing stakeholders at the function of spot light initiative, a project that fights violence against women and children held at Mundongo primary school playground in Nyakiyumbu sub-county Kasese district yesterday(09th.Dec.2021), Lt. Joe Walusimbi wonders how only 32 of about 950 cases of both defilement and violence against children and women can be reported in a subcounty that has local council and clan leader structures.
According the RDC, the local leaders are either compromised, are suspects or inactive and arrests would remind them of their roles in their areas of jurisdiction. Lt. Walusimbi speaking……..
