The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon Anita Among, has directed government security agencies to expeditiously investigate and reprimand those behind the gruesome attack on Mpondwe -Lhubiriha community Secondary School in Kasese District.
The attack is blamed on suspected Allied Democratic Forces -ADF rebels that left at least 37 students and 5 residents dead while several other students were abducted.
Speaker Among’s directive is also in line with the government’s pledge to trace and capture those behind the attack.
Following the attack, President Museveni ordered deployment of more troops along the border.
The Speaker of Parliament therefore directed the Ministry of Education and Sports and the Ministry of Internal Affairs to present to Parliament a statement detailing circumstances that led to the murder of over 40 people killed by suspected ADF assailants. Rt. Hon among speaking..
