Kasese District Assistant Health Officer Ms. Loice Sekalombi has urged pregnant mothers to attend all four recommended antenatal visits to help reduce the number of preterm births.

She says much as the Ministry of health recommends four antenatal visits about 50% complete them while others opt to deliver without accessing antenatal services.

Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio at her office last evening in Rukoki, Loi urged communities to encourage and support pregnant mothers to attend antenatal care, have good nutrition and to deliver from health facilities. Ms. Loi on antenatal speaking1…..

She appealed to mothers who allegedly delivered without attending to antenatal services to stop the vice but visit health facilities for proper guidance from the midwives. Ms. Loi on antenatal 2….

Ms. Loi cautioned expectant mothers against seeking medical care from Traditional Birth Attendants. END.
