Out of 962 applicants as Local Defence Unit officers in Kasese district, only 201 have been shortlisted, the Kasese RDC, Lt. Joe Walusimbi has said.
In an exclusive interview shortly after publishing the shortlist for the successful applicants, Lt. Walusimbi who congratulated the successful candidates called for calm among those who were left out, saying they could be absorbed by other security arms of government in future.
He said there was no cause for alarm as the selection of the applications was done by the Director of training in the Uganda People`s Defence Forces at the Military headquarters in Bombo. Lt Walusimbi speaks…..
The RDC who said the security situation in Kasese district was calm warned that the number of the successful candidates would go down should the candidates fail to report for training with their original certificates.
