Omusinga meets Former Rwenzururu Royal guards

The Rwenzururu King His majesty Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma yesterday (06th.May.2024) met the Former Rwenzururu Royal guards at Kasese Better living centre in Kasese town with a call for collective efforts towards Re-branding the kingdom.

Addressing hundreds of former Royal guards who were arrested in 2016 together with the King but secured amnesty from government, Omusinga called for mindset change towards social economic transformation, peace and unity in Kasese district.

He warned the former royal guards against selfish involvement in acts that may destabilize peace in Rwenzori region.

Mr.Zephanus Mubingwa,theDeputy RDC in charge of Busongora County, said he presented a motion before council for the return of King Mumbere from America, therefore appealing to Rwenzururu subjects to utilize the kingdom to lobby government grants and donations.

In their report read by Mr. Tadeo Masereka, asked king Mumbere to support Orphans and widows in his kingdom.

The King was accompanied by Her Royal highness Asimawe Agnes Ithungu and the Deputy Executive Director for Uganda Micro finance support centre, Ms. Helen Masika Petronilah among others. END
