    MP Sowedi calls for investigation over Rwimi Prison death

    The Member of Parliament for Busongora county North in Kasese district Hon .Sowedi Kitanywa has called for expedited investigation under which a 40 year old man is said to have been beaten to death by prison wardens in Rwimi Government Prison in Bunyangabu district.

    The legislator identified the deceased as Sunday Mulibondo, resident of Nyaseke cell in Kitswamba town council while three others were critically injured.

    He said the deceased and the injured who are reknown casual laborers in maize plantations in Rwimi were beaten after mistaken identity as thieves, leading to the death of one Malibondo.Hon.Sowedi one speaking…..

    Hon. Sowedi said he has written to the ministry of internal affairs, seeking thorough investigation about the prison wardens who assaulted and killed one person as well as pursuing compensation to the families of both the deceased and the injured. Hon. Sowedi two speaking….
