    MP. Ferigo takes Kasese female journalist to court

    An upcoming Female Journalist Ms. Evelyn Kabugho is to be sued by the Kasese Municipal Member of parliament Hon. Ferigo Kambale should she fail to apologize with in fifteen days over alleged defamation.

    According to the notice of intention to sue by Hon. Ferigo Kambale Counsel Geoffrey Mishele of Bagenda and Co advocates, Ms. Evelyn Kabugho an employee of Light FM in Kasese wrote and published an allegedly defamatory statement suggesting that over 30 employees of Rwenzori TV that is owned by the plaintiff were likely to be jobless should the proprietor fail to get the support.

    According to Cousel Michele Hon. Ferigo is MP whose reputation needs to be restricted and be protected not defamed.

    Evelyn report followed the plaintiffs address during the youth day celebrations in Kasese district last week saying whereas  Rwenzori TV needs to be upgraded  to reach the viewer’s expectation  in and beyond the region, he required financial support  to fulfill his dream. Hon. Ferigo on tv….

    Counsel Jackson Mbaju Kathika, the lawyer representing, Ms Evelyn Kabugho from Guma and Co-advocates says her client has no case to answer since the legislator made a verbal statement at a public function requesting government intervention.Counsel Kathika on court….

    He however called for calm among the community saying the matter will be handled politely. END.
