By Augustine Mumbere,
Mr. Stephen Wahemba, a concerned resident in Kivengenyi village in Karusandara sub-county in Kasese district has called for continued thorough operations against what he perceives to be Sanga meat that may soon turn disastrous to the local community members in Kasese municipality.
He believes that whereas the locals need what to eat and depend on economically, what he called rotting meat shouldn’t be the best option.
In an interview with our reporter in Kasese town, Mr. Wahemba who said he had seen a tricycle commonly known as tukutuku in Kasese town carrying sacks of suspected saga meat covered with swarms of flies, was concerned that Kasese was likely to be hit soon by diseases related to the consumption of un hygienic meat should no tough measures against the business are put in place. Mr. Wahemba speaking…..
He therefore calls for joint efforts by the district leadership, responsible local community members and security against the trade in Sanga meat before it’s too late. END
