Mr. Michelle Geoffrey, the counsel representing the Member of Parliament for Kasese Municipality, Hon. Ferigo Kambale has received response from Ms. Evelynn Kabugho, an upcoming journalist accused of defaming the legislator.

In an earlier intention to sue notice, Hon. Ferigo asks Ms. Evelyn Kabugho, an employee of Light FM in Kasese to apologize publically within 15 days for an alleged defamatory publication suggesting that about 30 employees of Rwenzori TV that is owned by the plaintiff, were likely to be jobless should the proprietor fail to get the requested for support.

Ms. Evelyn`s report followed the alleged plaintiff’s address during the youth day celebrations in Kasese last week, that whereas Rwenzori TV needs to be upgraded to reach the viewers` expectations, he required support to fulfill his dream.

Counsel Michelle of Bagyenda and Co. Advocates told Kasese Guide Radio that whereas Guma and Co. advocates representing Ms. Evelyn had delivered her response, he was waiting for their client`s instructions to determine the next course of action. Counsel Michelle speaking…..

Counsel Jackson Mbaju Kathika of Guma and Co. advocates maintained in their response that Ms Evelyn, their client, has no case to answer since the legislator made a public statement requesting for support. END.
