At least fifty households in Bwesumbu subcounty in Kasese district are temporally encamped at various sites in the area following the heavy down pour last week.
Mr. Reuben Watsurawa, the local council two chairperson for Kasangali parish told the Kasese district woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Florence Kabugho that the villages of Kasangali B, Ruhara One and Two, Buhati, Butswetsi and Kasangali A, were badly hit and the affected community members encamped at Kasangali and Nyakanengo primary schools, and Kasangali health center two. In his address to the victims, Hon. Florence who asked community members to act in a manner that will conserve the environment by planting trees, argued the area leaders to generate a list of the affected persons to the ministry of Disaster Preparedness under the Prime Minister’s office for possible relief aid. Earlier, Ms Yolesi Nyabahasa like other community members and leaders, hailed the legislator for the support before asking for her intervention for support from government and her development partners.
