    Farmers in Kasese cautioned against environmental degradation.

    Farmers in Kasese district have been cautioned against environmental degradation so as to minimize destructions caused by disasters in the district.

    Since 2013 to date, the district has witnessed a number of disasters in form of floods, landslides, draughts and soil erosion due to poor methods of guarding environment.

    While addressing over 1200 people yesterday who are camping at Kiraro primary school after Bughabirwa and part of Kiraro were hit by landslides, Dr. Crispus Kiyonga blamed the incident to human activities including poor methods of farming.

    Kiyonga who is the Ugandan Ambassador to Beijing in China, reminded the elderly men and women that valleys were respected and no one would be allowed to tamper with them for their safety. Dr. Kiyonga speaking1……

    On COVID-19, Dr. Kiyonga says that a lot is still needed among Ugandans to ensure that the virus which has placed the so called super power countries upside down is fought by following the Ministry of Health and Presidential guidelines including social distancing and wearing of face masks to dot.

    Earlier, former Member of Parliament for Bukonzo West County told the gathering that all is not lost but promote the growing reeds and bamboos along the river banks. ENDS.
