Kasese Chief Magistrate’s court has remanded to Mubuku Government Prison the proprietor of SKYZ Bar and Lounge until 26th February 2024, over two counts of attempted murder and malicious damage.
Court presided over by the principle Grade One Magistrate His worship Alan Nyakana heard that on 1st, February, 2024 while at Kasese Divisional Police station in Kasese town, Mr. Benerd Chance 30, the properiator of SKYZ Lounge and Bar in Kasese Municipality, attempted to knock dead Ms. Glades Nandeje Ainabyona using his car Regn.No.UBD 043A Mercedes Benze.
The embattled Bernard had come to police to record statement over alleged assault to Nandeje one of his employees.
Same court also heard that on 2nd .February 2023 while at SKYZ Bar, and launch Mr.Benerd unlawfully attacked a road side vendor outside his premises, destroyed roasted chicken, meat, chapatti, charcoal stoves and tables belonging to a one Mr.Amudan Mugerwa.
Speaking to this Radio shortly after court session, the Rwenzori East Region Police Spokesperson, SP.Nelson Tumushiime said whereas Benerd has been remanded this morning, police is still receiving complaints about the suspect that may lead to further arrests.
