SP Luke Mbusa, the Liaison Officer and Acting Police Spokesperson for Rwenzori East Region has called for career promotion sessions by parents and guardians at home to shape the consciousness of the young people who need guidance about the future.
Addressing Bright Academy secondary school students in Kasese Municipality during their Career day celebrations over the weekend, SP Mbusa partly blamed unemployment and the increasing number of school dropouts to failure by learners to realize their careers, including poor interpretation of what education means to them, as well as engaging in life endangering activities like fornication, drug addiction and alcohol that end up frustrating their future.
Ms Ritah Masika and Abril Asinja, both students of Mbarara University of Science and Technology asked learners to be more serious about what they do before warning parents against forcing their children into offering certain disciplines they cannot excel in while in school.
Ms Ritah and Asiinja speaking…….
They also asked learners to be disciplined and respectful to their elders if they were to excel in life. END
