The Uganda People’s Defense Forces -UPDF has discovered that majority of the candidates in Kasese district who turned up for recruitment into the force did not go through because they presented forged academic documents.
The recruitment exercise that started on Monday ended yesterday in Kasese district at Rwenzori Square targeting 140 youths out of 261 candidates shortlisted to join the UPDF mighty force in Uganda.
Maj. Bilal Katamba, the Public Information Officer for the Mountain Division and Operation Shujja told our reporter that other candidates had health challenges including, Hernia, ring warms, big scars while others reportedly failed to complete the four Kilometer run as part of the requirements for the recruits.
He appealed to parents and Guardians to utilize the Government program of UPE and USE to enable their children acquire qualifications to compete for civil service slots. Maj. Bilal Speaking….
