FAWE-Uganda and MasterCard Foundation has offered 1,800 bursaries for Academic year 2024-25 aimed to support academically talented young and vulnerable women and men to access higher education in Uganda.
Ms. Akello Martha, an official from FAWE- Uganda told a half day inception meeting of district stakeholders held at Kasese District Education board room today that the bursaries target persons with disabilities, refugees and the vulnerable, all facing the highest social and economic challenges and aged between 15-25 years.
The second phase program will be implemented in Fifty One districts across Uganda, including Kasese district that is prone to disaster.
Ms. Akello like the Assistant RDC Kasese district in charge of Kasese Municipality, Ms. Justine Muhindo revealed that 80% bursaries target women while 20% for men, therefore appealing to those interested to fill the forms on line or pick at the D.E.O,S office and return them before deadline on Friday this week.
