The Kasese Deputy RDC, Mr. Joshua Masereka has threatened to blacklist some local NGOs that work in isolation in the district.
Speaking to our reporter shortly after closing a one day district planning and budgeting conference for financial year 2022-2023 held at Kasese Multipurpose hall in Kasese Municipality, Mr. Joshua was concerned that some local NGOs have turned into family income generating projects under the guise of supporting the community.
Mr. Joshua whose office appraises civil society operations in the district said he would write to the National NGO board to withdraw operation licenses of some Civil Society organizations that have allegedly been fraudulent and impersonate. Mr. Joshua speaking1…….
He had earlier accused some local NGOs of forging audited books of accounts, defrauding funders, forging operation permits, certificates of registrations and bank statements for personal reasons.
