Lt. Joe Walunsimbi, the Kasese Resident District Commissioner has described the recognition of Minority Groups in Uganda as their constitutional right.
However, Walunsimbi says the process of seeking Government to recognize them should be followed with legality so as not to cause friction among other tribes.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio shortly after a one day engagement organized by UNHRC with the Bakingwe held at Vibe Lounge in Katwe-Kabatoro town council today, Walunsimbi said the dialogue was to encourage the Bakingwe to embrace census by cooperating with enumerators when they visit their homes for data collection.
Lt. Walunsimbi speaking……
The area Legislator, Hon.Gideon Thembo Mujungu who revealed that Government has allocated codes to every minority group in Uganda during Census, called for unity and cooperation.
