Three children are reported to have died and two critically injured in two separate incidents after their houses allegedly collapsed during today’s heavy down pour in Kasese district.
No official comment yet from police but Mr. Juvenile Muke, the local council three Chairperson for Kyondo subcounty said three children of Mr. Edward Mumbahya, a local resident is feared dead after rivers in the area broke their banks, resulting into mudslides and floods that hit houses belonging to the deceased and survivors, as well as destroying crops. In Kyalhumba subcounty, Mr. Jackson Mughuruka, the area local council three Chairperson said yet to be identified local residents were this morning rushed for medication after their houses were hit by mudslides that have turned many roads impassable in the subcounty.

Meanwhile, another house is said to have collapsed, reportedly killing a 24-year-old woman in Kanyatsi village in Nyakabingo subcounty in Kasese district.
