Hon. Godfrey Kabbyanga, the Sate Minister for National Guidance says the government of Uganda has ear marked funds to construct four Maternity Wards at four health facilities in Kasese district.
Speaking to the media shortly after touring the construction works at Rukoki health centre four in Kasese Municipality yesterday, Hon. Kabbyanga said the UPDF engineering Brigade was to undertake construction works of the Ward at Katiri, Mbunga and Kalibu health Centre two for purposes of elevating them into health center threes to serve the suffering population in the hard to reach Mountainous areas of the greater Kilembe.
Hon. Kabbyanga later asked the leadership of Kasese Municipality to be faster in negotiating with Kilembe Mines Limited for more land to enable construction and disbursement of funds, first, for the construction works at Katiri health center two before the closure of this financial year. Dr. Abraham Masereka, a Medical officer at Rukoki health Centre Four in Kasese Municipality hailed Hon. Kabyanga for his good to serving the locals, calling for intensified plans to have enough and reliable water supply, as well as electricity power that have kept a challenge at the facility whose number of patients increases each day.
