Mr. Saulo Maate, the former Kasese District Forum for Democratic Change chairperson has faulted five councilors in Kasese district for untimely abandoning their electorates for civil service jobs.
He described it as unfortunate the move by the councilors to leave their representation roles in council at a time the government coffers seem dry for any immediate replacements yet the general elections are about two years ahead.
About two weeks ago, Hon. Asasio Bwambale for Nyakabingo, Hon. Pelusi Mweryabisandu for Kirabaho-Kabatunda town council and Bwesumbu sub county, Hon. Johnson Mulekeri for Muhokya, Hon. Rabson Magoma for Maliba and Jonan Bwambale for Mbunga subcounties in Kasese district were recruited as security guards by the district service commission.
Speaking to media at the FDC offices based in Kasese municipality, Mr. Saulo questioned the consciousness of the former people’s representatives and sympathized with the community members whose demands may have no attention in the district council without representation. Mr. Saulo speaking……

In his response to Kasese Guide Radio last week, Mr. Lawrence Turuganya, the Kasese district Civil service commission chair described it as empty talk and a waste of time for to allege that his office was corrupt without giving any evidence. Earlier, Hon. Obed Tsotswana who was representing Buhuhira sub county had resigned for job slot at Mountain of the Moon University in Fort portal tourism city, Hon. Uziah Muthabali for Kitabu sub county is currently a teacher at Muthanywana secondary school and Hon. Obed Masereka, the former district councilor for Ihandiro sub county is currently a Community Development Officer for Bwera, as Hon. Doreen Biira Sumeta who represented Karusandara subcounty is currently an office attendant at the district headquarters. END
