Officials from the Ministry on Water and Environment led by the commissioner, Dr. Collist Tindimugaya yesterday(13th.August.2021) met the District leadership and Members of parliament to share knowledge on what is expected to be done by stakeholders before government launches desilting of River Nyamwamba in Kasese Municipality.
Addressing the press shortly after the meeting at Kasese Multu-purpose hall, Dr.Collist said there is need to protect the catchment through doing activities in the hill that would reduce water volume, plant bamboos and construct Dams among the mitigating factors.

According to Dr.Collist government has allocated over thirty billion shillings for the first phrase of the project due to start soon.
