A suspected Ebola patient has died from Nyamirami Health Centre four in Muhokya Sub County in Kasese District.
Dr. Yusuf Baseke, the Kasese District Health Officer said the suspect was admitted to the facility last week with signs including passing out of blood from body openings.
The suspect whose identity has been concealed in order not to enable efforts trace his contacts, had traveled from Kagadi district last week.
Dr. Baseke who said the deceased`s blood samples had been picked and taken to the Uganda Virus Research Institute, said a trained burial team had been dispatched to the area to conduct the burial and also take necessary details of all people the deceased could have had contact with.

He also said that the previous samples picked from two suspects turned out negative and one of the patients is still being treated for other ailments at Rukoki Health Center IV alongside intensifying community sensitizations in wake of the threats. Dr. Baseke speaking2……..
Just today, the Minister of Health announced the death of another health worker, Margaret Nabisubi who succumbed to Ebola.
On Saturday, Dr. Mohammed Ali, a 37-year-old Tanzanian national, part of the six medics transferred from Mubende referral hospital also succumbed to Ebola. END
