    Rev. Fr. Matata’s body has been received by the diocese of Kasese

    The Body of the Late Fr. Joseph Matata Tibaijuka has been received by the diocese of Kasese at the Kasese cathedral church with a call on believers in Christ to keep evaluate their faith in God if they are to inherit the kingdom of heaven.

    Presiding over Requiem Mass shortly after the arrival of the body at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral Parish Church late in the night, the Kasese Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Kirungi called for continuous prayers for the late Fr. Matata whom he believes had done his part in serving his God.

    Rev Fr. Kirungi went on to ask Christians to evaluate their actions if they were to win God`s mercies for eternity. Fr. Kirungi speaking…..

    The local council three Chairperson, Mr. Safari Martin like other Christians interviewed sympathized with the Ordinary of Kasese and the entire diocese and the bereaved family for the death of Fr. Matata whom he said has a life to celebrate for having stood firm to serve his God.

    Rev. Fr. Kirungi was assisted by Fr. Anyasio Mbusa, Fr. Joseph Syathetha, Fr. David Kitsa, Fr. Godwin Mumbere and Fr. Joseph Mbusa.

    Another requiem Mass is scheduled for 9am today before the body leaves for Kasanga catholic parish later this afternoon ahead of the burial tomorrow at midday. END.
