The Coordinator Medicine San frontiers Kasese Branch, Dr.Denis Mbea has called for continuous sensitization of parents and Local leaders about their mandate to protect minors against teenage pregnancies and child marriages.
He said parents and political leaders ought to discourage cultural beliefs that promote child marriage and provide appropriate sexuality education to young people.

He asked parents, guardians and religious leaders to counsel children as in preparing them for classes soon, including keeping them busy or, they will be left in the hands of immoral people.
On Monday ,Dr. Denis said their facility at Kasese Municipal health centre III quarterly receive over 1000 new visits of teenage pregnancy, the number he said is alarming, calling for the intervention of all stakeholders for a permanent solution. END.
