The Kasese Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Joe Walusimbi has commissioned the second phase of the construction works for the Kasese District Administration block with a call on the contractor to deliver timely and quality works.
According to the construction work assignments under this phase, about 370 million shillings will be spent on casting and raising the wall and 60 million shillings on staff water borne toilets among others.
The seemingly satisfied Lt. Walunsimbi also launched a one year project site handover for the final internal completion of phase three for six office rooms and reception that is nearly over fifty percent complete to accommodate the district chairperson and some staff as the phased construction works continues. Lt. Walunsimbi speaking……
Kasese district Chairperson, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi blames the delays to the recent COVID-19 threats, saying that the completion of the first floor in about three months would see some staff shift to the new administration office block. Mr. Muhindi speaking……..
He however cautioned the contractor against shoddy works but rather delivers his best for future partnerships.
Mr. Amis Asuman Masereka, the Kasese district Chief Administrative officer pledged proper supervision and accountability as the construction works go on. END.
