The opposition members of parliament from Kasese district reportedly declined to attend the ground breaking of the multi-billion shillings Uganda-DR Congo cross border high way because they were not invited for the function.
In a rather un usual event yesterday, President Museveni and his counterpart, Felix Kitsekedi meet at their border district of Kasese and later Lhubiriha in Beni-Butembo to break the ground for the project billed at about three hundred thirty million dollars.

According to the Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Works, Eng. Samson Bagonza, Uganda and DR Congo would equally contribute 40% of the total expense as the contractor mobilizes the 60% percent. END.
