    Kasese central market venders starts paying local revenue & rent this month.

    Market venders in Kasese Municipal Main market are expected to start paying local revenue and rent this month after the two months grace period, the Kasese Municipal Central Division chairperson, Mr. Martin Safari has said.

    Speaking to our reporter at his office yesterday(17th.Nov.2021), Mr. Safari said the grace period was intended to give ample time for the market vendors to settle and guide their customers to their new location.

    Mr. Safari who said the Division was pocketing about 300 million shillings of local revenue from the old market, said that he expects cooperation by vendors that his offices began collecting money taxes beginning November 15th. Mr. Safari speaking 1 ……

    He said the vendors ought to appreciate the current lock up rent that is not only aimed at enabling traders to transact but also services to the local community. Mr. Safari speaking ……

    Mr. Safari called for total Kasese community support that will enhance development of Kasese Municipality and the district at large. END
