Yet to be specified kilograms of suspected immature vanilla were yesterday(29th.November.2021) impounded following a search at the house of the suspected dealer by police in Katadoba cell, Kasese Municipality in Kasese district.
No official comment yet from police but the area Defense secretary, Mr. Boniface Nyalungu confirmed that he was only called to witness the house search of one Mr. Yonah, the suspected immature vanilla dealer who doubles as a local resident.

The Rwenzori regional coordinator for Vanilla farmers, Mr. Robert Bwambale Kanyerera said the operation could have based on a vanilla Ordinance that prohibits trading in the crop before the right harvest time is announced by the line Ministry.
