    Heavy rain waters have swept away un quantified food crops & houses in Kitholhu S/C

    About four houses and un quantified food crops are said to have been swept away by heavy rain waters in Kitholhu Sub County in Kasese district Kasese, guide radio has learnt.

    Nr. Emmanuel Maliba, the area local council three chairperson who confirmed the yesterday`s incident which he said had left the local residents puzzled, calls for change of farming methods and timely preparations now that similar occurrences have repeated in the months of April and May almost each year. Mr. Maliba speaking1………

    Mr. Maliba who said the incident was regrettable at a time the constituency was accommodating Congolese refugees, asks the local residents whose houses could be weak and non resistant to heavy weather conditions to vacate. Mr. Maliba speaking2…….

    He calls for Government expedition of plans to construct roads and bridges in hilly areas, most of which have been swept away. END.
