Sixteen Villages in Maliba Sub County in Kasese district have severely been affected by yesterday`s(29th.October.2020) floods and mudslides, leaving about twenty five houses destroyed.
Speaking to Kasese guide radio shortly after visiting displaced people in Maliba sub county the Sub county Chairperson Mr. Abdul Saadi who said two camps of internally displaced people has been created at Isule primary school and Kabuyiri respectively called for humanitarian support to the communities which he said were helpless after gardens, houses and roads among others were destroyed. Ms Joyce Musoki 70, a widow like other affected community members camped at Kyabikuha primary school were worried about the future now that their pieces of land and gardens have been swept away by floods.

The Former Maliba subcounty local council three chairperson, Mr. Rabson Magoma sympathized with the affected people before he partly blamed the incident to corruption that forced shoddy at the Isule bridge that keeps blocking every time rain falls. Mr. Magoma speaking……
