The Kasese district FDC Chairperson, Mr. Saulo Maate has expressed his disappointment over the statements attributed to the Central Division Community Development officer suggesting that some internally displaced people could temporarily live with relatives in safer areas than in camps.
According to Mr. Kelvin Baluku while addressing the camp in Basecamp , the camps could crop into a number of challenges ranging from lack of enough food, disease and un desirable behavior, proposing that living with relatives was an alternative better option.
Speaking to Kasese guide radio on phone, Mr. Saulo Maate thinks that the statements were inhuman and un called for to the suffering category of the community members now living in various camps in and outside Kasese Municipality. Mr. Saulo speaking1………
The district FDC Boss later used the same opportunity to ask government for urgent plans to protect local population`s gardens he said were almost turning into game reverses by the roaming destructive wildlife. Mr. Saulo speaking2………..
