Parliament has Notified electoral commission about the vacant position for Member of Parliament for Busongora South constituency, the Kasese district Registrar, Mr. Turkey Ismail Atwizukire has said.
Speaking to Kasese guide radio this afternoon, Mr. Turkey said there no much his office could plan for unless parliament as mandated by law notify the electoral commission about the vacant position in Parliament after the Court of Appeal decision that threw out of the house, Hon. Gideon Mujungu.
He also announced that 1st to 5th July 2022 had been scheduled for the register verification ahead of the by elections of the Busongora south constituency. Mr. Turkey on voting………….
Mr. Turkey also said that all eligible voters in the constituency, including first voters will be allowed to cast their votes. END.
