The Kasese Municipal town clerk, Mr. Isaiah Twesigye has announced that about forty two billion shillings, including twenty five that had been called back by the national treasury for non-use, has already been wired to the Municipal account for use under Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development Program- USMID.
Speaking to Kasese Guide radio yesterday(01stSept.2021), Mr. Isaiah who said that Kasese Municipal council was one of the three Municipalities that had not yet signed road contracts for road works by last evening under USMID, added that the 25 billion shillings under same project had been sent back to the center over the long and delayed procurement bureaucracies.

He said the contract for a consultant has already been submitted to the solicitor General for clearance before other process could be embarked on. END
