The Police in Mbarara City have arrested a businessman for allegedly shooting a reveler in a bar.
The suspect has been identified as Bonny Asiimwe 44, the Director of Embatura Drink Company and a resident of Ishaka Town Council, Bushenyi District.
According to Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson, it is alleged that on July 17th, while at Step in Bar along the Kakoba road in Mbarara City, Asiimwe using a pistol shot and injured Kasbert Tukahirwa 24, a resident Kakoba central Kakoba Division in the foot.
Kasasira says after the incident the suspect went into hiding before his arrest this morning from his hideout in Bushenyi. Mr. Tukahirwa, the victim who is currently nursing injuries at Mbarara regional referral hospital says, he had a misunderstanding with the suspect over a table the suspect had wanted him to relocate from.
