The Kasese Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Joe Walunsimbi is to head investigations into reports that some private primate primary schools charge highly for national examinations but register their candidates with government aided schools for lack of examination centers.
Addressing education stakeholders, most of them parents, guardians, teachers and local leaders at Kamaiba primary school in Kasese Municipality yesterday, Lt. Walunsimbi said he was to ask the DISO to back up his office into investigations against the high costs charged for examination in private schools aiming at cheating parents.
He said his team would also investigate reports that slow learners in some costly private schools are forced to register for national examination in public schools for fear to have big numbers of low grades and failures. Lt. Walunsimbi speaking1………

Walunsimbi who threatened to arrest more head teachers who discriminate learners whose parents do not pay for particular agreed extra services, asked for reasonable and affordable extra payments by parents now that government handles text books and salaries among other requirements.
