Lt. Joe Walunsimbi, the Kasese Resident District Commissioner has maintained his earlier position to arrest any head teacher in public school who is suspected to have discriminated learners over failure to pay the agreed development fees.
He said that whereas he is not opposed to payments of the agreed reasonable and affordable funds by parents and guardians, the decision must not negatively affect the learners.
Addressing education stakeholders, most of them parents, guardians, teachers and local leaders at Kamaiba primary school in Kasese Municipality today, Lt. Walunsimbi called for no politicization of the arrests which he said were not personal but generally intended to implement the education act that head teachers are employed to implement. Lt.
