The Local community of Bar Na Mayi Kabuyiri 1 Village in Mpondwe–Lhubiriha Town Council, Kasese District, have raised pressing concerns that since Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga left Parliament ten years ago, they allege have not received any significant support from Government through his successor, Hon. Aitkens Godfrey Katusabe.


Speaking to the press during Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga’s campaign rally held today in Bar Na Mayi Kabuyiri 1, Mr. Jackson Kazimoto, the NRM aspirant Chairperson for Local Council One highlighted numerous challenges faced by the community including the poor state of Bar Na Mayi road, lack of access to clean water, and lack of electricity.

Mr. Jackson requested that if Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga is re-elected, he should prioritize addressing these pressing issues to bring relief to the local residents who are yearning for his tested leadership.
Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga acknowledged the community’s challenges and assured residents that if re-elected, he would work tirelessly in Parliament to address issues related to roads, water, and electricity connectivity.
