Fifty defectors, majority reportedly from the Forum for Democratic Party, have pledged total support to their NRM, a political party they have branded as being pro-people.
Ms. Jorolina Ithungu 42, Mr. Josephat Makanika 30 and Mr. Bakulirahe Baluku 37 are among the defectors in Busongora County North who told an NRM Camp Fire at Kasangali SDA primary school in Bwesumbu subcounty in Kasese district yesterday that their decision was forced by the leadership gaps and lies by Forum for Democratic Change structures. Addressing the gathering which also included the political converts, Hon. Godfrey Kabbyanga, the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, pledged support aimed at aiding the party foot soldiers and the defectors into the roles of mobilizing votes for President Museveni and their new NRM political party.
