Police have confirmed that at least six people died last evening following a deadly head-on collision between a taxi and a Link Bus Company bus at Kyakatebe in Kassanda District.
According to the Wamala Region Police Spokesperson, Lameck Kigozi, the taxi, registration number UBQ 154R, was traveling towards Mubende when it attempted to overtake another vehicle and collided with the bus, registration number UBE 535H, which was heading in the opposite direction.
SSP Kigozi told Kasese Guide Radio this morning that the drivers of both vehicles fled the scene shortly after the deadly accident last evening. SSP Kigozi speaking………
He therefore appeals to the public for information that could help in identifying and apprehending the two drivers so as to heal the forces in the ongoing investigations. END
