Police in the Rwenzori East Region have called for peaceful campaigns ahead of the2026 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, Kasese Guide Radio can reliably report.

The Rwenzori East Regional Police Spokesperson, Superintendent of Police, Nelson Tumusiime, urged all political players to respect their campaign route charts and avoid hate speech during the campaign period to prevent friction with security agencies.
