The Deputy Police Commander for Kampala Metropolitan, SSP Gerald Twishiime, has assured residents of Nansana that police will maintain law and order throughout the festive season and will not tolerate any acts that disrupt peace.
Mr. Twishiime made the remarks while presiding over a community policing activity organized by Kampala Metropolitan Police, where officers engaged residents of Nansana to jointly promote security and reduce crime ahead of the celebrations.
As part of the community engagement, police officers, together with local leaders and residents, conducted a general cleaning exercise at Nansana Farmers’ Market and surrounding areas.
The initiative was welcomed by traders and community members, many of whom expressed appreciation for the police’s involvement in addressing sanitation challenges at the market. END
